Dr Patrick Allo

Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow

Patrick Allo is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow working on the project The Logics of Information Visualisation.

Before joining the OII, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Logic and Philosophy of Science in Brussels, where he worked on topics in philosophical logic and the philosophy of information. Most recently, he participated in a project on the philosophy of mathematical practice, and focused specifically on the impact of ICT’s on mathematical research and collaborative mathematics, and the development of formal models for the study of these practices.

He is a collecting editor of the journal Logique & Analyse, an associate editor for Logic and Technology of the journal Philosophy and Technology, and associate editor for the Philosophical Studies Book Series. He also maintains the Information Theory leaf-category at Philpapers. He is also a founding member and current chair of the Society for the Philosophy of Information.
